In an interview on September 3, 2004 conducted by Michael J. Birkner, Charles Glatfelter, professor of History and Dean of Gettysburg College, discusses Gettysburg College in the context of the turbulent 1960's and 1970's. He starts by describing his work with the Academic Program and Policy Committee, the curriculum changes that were made, and more specific changes in the History Department. He also discusses how the student body changed in the late 1960's and the faculty's stance on Vietnam and other controversies.
