Abstract
Monte Carlo (MC) techniques have become important and pervasive in the work of AI practitioners. In general, they use stochastic simulation to provide deep understanding of complex systems as long as important events are not infrequent. Despite the practical importance of the techniques, relatively few relevant assignments have been developed to date.
