Description
Beginning with the class that entered Fall 2010, a student who successfully petitions the Academic Standing Committee to pursue the Alternate Track for completion of the second language requirement (two courses in the same language) must complete the requirement in one of the following ways, depending on whether the student has successfully completed any college level language courses:
a) 2 courses from the approved list of Alternate Track courses (student has successfully completed 0 language courses);
b) 1 course from the approved list of Alternate Track courses PLUS 1 successfully completed college language course;
c) 1 course from the approved list of Alternate Track courses OR 1 successfully completed college language course PLUS 1 semester study abroad in a country whose native language is not English.
