This painting is of a grotesque kitchen sink that needs to be scrubbed and Cloroxed. I found this subject interesting because, like the dirty Nightstand, it is an area of one's home that they would not want guests to see. It is a place that would definitely be cleaned before any company comes over. It is also a scene that people can familiarize with. Maybe it makes them think about their own sink and how it might have looked like this at one point.
