Description
Beginning as an abstract painting on Valentine's day 2017, this piece includes actual candy hearts. The surreal background juxtaposes the life-like face and bodily attributes that the artist developed over the course of the semester. The figure looks out from its place inside the painting, seemingly entrenched in and detached from the world in which it resides. Strikingly present, the figure captures those who look in it's eyes, simultaneously questioning and accepting, both confronting and hoping. The piece is about 4ft in height and 3ft in width.
