Violences Sexuelles et Reconstruction Identitaire au Féminin chez Gisèle Pineau

Florence R. Jurney, Gettysburg College

This article focuses on the recurring presence of sexual violence in Gisèle Pineau's L'Espérance Macadam and Fleur de Barbarie, and particularly sexual violence against children. I first study the narration of these events analyzing the different steps going from a broken identity to a rebuilt identity, in particular through the narration of stories, and the search for a positive past and a supportive genealogy.
