Abstract
Every December 21st, the first day of winter and the longest night of the year, we commemorate Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day. On that day, we remember those who have died on our streets and we strengthen our resolve to work for a world where no life is lived or lost in homelessness. We also state clearly, together with others in scores of communities across our nation, that no person should die for lack of housing. In this video, Chris Fee, Professor & Chair of English at Gettysburg College, discusses the realities of homelessness in America and how we at Gettysburg College are confronting Homelessness on Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day 2016.
