Description

The Governance Review Commission moves that the charge “(3) to oversee the policies and procedures relating to the evaluation of tenured faculty members” currently assigned to the Faculty Development Committee be moved to the Chairs Council (formerly the Chairs and Coordinators Council) and reworded thus: “(3) to collaborate with the Provost to manage the policies and procedures relating to the performance evaluations of tenured faculty members”. The Governance Review Commission also moves that the language used to describe the Chairs Council in the Handbook be updated to reflect the March 2015 decision that all heads of academic departments and programs will be referred to as “Chairs”.
