About This Journal

The journal welcomes applied social science research and discussions of social science literature. This is further described in the Aims & Scope of the journal.

The Gettysburg Social Sciences Review is an open access, peer-reviewed, undergraduate research journal. The team of reviewers are appointed by recommendation of a faculty member in the Gettysburg College Sociology Department.

The Gettysburg Social Sciences Review is dedicated to providing a forum for undergraduate students to develop and share critical research and writing in the Social Sciences. We encourage submissions from a wide spectrum of topics relevant to the Social Sciences. The journal seeks to advance the mission of Gettysburg College by fostering exchanges of ideas across disciplines to promote critical thought and active participation while highlighting the academic contributions of undergraduate research.
