Open Access Week is October 23-27, 2017. This year's theme is "Open in order to..."

As a warmup for OA Week, Musselman Library and the Johnson Center for Creative Teaching and Learning are hosting a discussion-based meeting on Working and Negotiating with Publishers (October 16, 10 am).

We're also screening The Internet's Own Boy, a documentary about programming prodigy and information activist Aaron Swartz (October 20, noon-2 pm). Yes, we will serve Open Access cookies!

During OA Week, we will host a webinar about Open Access Monographs (October 24, 4-5pm).

All week long, students will be sharing how much they spend on textbooks in a semester on the #textbookbroke wall in the library. Stop by to see the crowdsourced data on a giant graph.

Faculty will be encouraged to take the "What's your #GburgOAscore?" online quiz. Share your quiz results to get a prize!

There is something for everyone at Gettysburg College this Open Access Week. We hope you find something that inspires you to engage more deeply in the open movement. The Library is ready when you are - you can email us at cupola@gettysburg.edu.
