Students selected a World War I poster from Gettysburg College's collection and provided a well written and informative caption. Their task was to examine the posters from many angles in order to provide context and greater appreciation to the viewer. You will find that some captions include information about the artists, the audience, the message of the poster, or even its impact during the war years.
This project was part of Dr. Michael Birkner's History 348: U.S. History 1900-1945 course during the Fall 2014 term.
