Abstract
This website looks at the world surrounding children during the Civil Rights Movement. It is meant to be an educational resource about White and Black children’s experiences during the Civil Rights movement. The website itself was constructed using WordPress and TimelineJS. This project began as a research paper in Dr. Marta Robertson‘s Musicology class in Fall 2021. The paper explored the music education of children that motivated their activism. In the summer of 2022, Anali’s project was chosen by the Fortenbaugh Fellowship to continue the “What about the Children?” as a digital humanities project.
