MS – 230: Young Men’s Christian Association of Pennsylvania College Papers, 1867-1872

This collection contains information regarding the creation and early years of the Young Men's Christian Association of Pennsylvania College between 1867-1872. Records include letters for missionaries and business correspondence with Executive Committee of the Y.M.C.A. of Pennsylvania and other Y.M.C.A. organizations. -
MS – 231: Frederick Augustus Muhlenberg Keller, Class of 1838

Frederick Augustus Muhlenberg Keller graduated from the Gettysburg College in 1838, and was licensed as a Lutheran minister in 1840. The bulk of this collection consists of four notebooks penned in Keller’s hand. -
MS-232: Edward A Frederick Papers

This collection contains postcards written by Frederick, photographs, a newspaper clipping, and a ring and pins from the US Aero Squadron. The postcards follow Frederick from his training with the Aero Squadron in San Antonio Texas at Kelly Field to his service overseas. -
MS-233: Papers of Theta Chi

The bulk of this collection are the illustrations, blueprints, photo albums, and clothing of the Theta Chi fraternity. These materials include various meeting minutes, an historian’s book chronicling from 1952 to 1978, issues of The Deltacron, Articles of Incorporation, responsibility lists for vice president and secretary, and rush brochures from the 1960s and 1970s. -

This collection includes newspaper clippings, photographs, military-related documents, and Vietnamese paraphernalia Buchter gathered during Buchter's service as the Base Operations Officer in Da Nang during the Vietnam War. -
MS-235: LTC Richard F. Pendleton ‘63 Papers

This collection contains maps, photographs, documents, and correspondence related to the service of LTC Richard F. Pendleton ’63 and the Vietnam War. This collection is a mix of period maps and items, and later e-mail correspondence reflecting on the war. -
MS-236: Bernard Peace WWI Photograph Album

This photograph album contains 200 photographs depicting everyday life and people in Baghdad and in northeast India, as well as other images from the region. Additionally, other photographs include images of landmarks, and historic spaces. Dates range from 1917-1919. -
MS-238: Prisoner of War Letters from World Wars I and II

This collections consists of various correspondence between POWs and their families from both world wars. Most of the correspondence was authored from prisoners sent from camps in Asia and Africa. These letters provide a glimpse in to the thoughts of prisoners in these camps. -
MS-239: The Ken Bruno Collection of Louis A. Parsons

The bulk of this collection contains family correspondence as well as financial and legal correspondence, and documents. These materials supplement the previous acquisition of Parsons material in MS-203 Louis A. Parsons Papers and fill in a few gaps. -

This is a small collection that is primarily comprised of loose and bound copies of The Musselman Processor, the monthly booklets containing information with regard to the Musselman Company. -
MS- 241: Harry Dravo Parkin WWI Memoir

This small collection includes five bound volumes of a memoir written by Harry Dravo Parkin. The collection contains information regarding his experience in WWI as a wounded prisoner of war as well as everyday life as a major. -
MS – 242: Guide to the Muriel Rice Collection of NoCasinoGettysburg

The bulk of this collection are Muriel Rice’s letters and emails, and printouts from the organization’s web-site, NoCasino.com. Muriel Rice, along with Susan Paddock, led the campaign to stop David LeVan’s proposal to build a casino in Straban Township. The two women co-chaired the organization and led it to its successful conclusion. -
MS – 243: Emma Guffey Miller Photo Albums

Emma Guffey Miller was a suffragist involved in public service and politics. This collection includes three different albums that include Guffey’s travels. The albums range from her final year at Bryn Mawr College to her Japan trip where she focuses on her travel returning home to the United States. -
MS – 244: Papers of George S. Patton Jr.

The bulk of this collection are George S. Patton Jr.’s letters to his Aunt “Nannie” and his mother. There is also record of his book “My Father as I remembered him.”, which is a biographical account of Patton’s family. -
MS – 245: Papers of Edward E. Bradbury

Edward Emerson Bradbury (1845-1909) was a U.S. Navy sailor from 1862-1909. This collection is his journal entirely handwritten in script using both pen and pencil. It contains scattered math equations, compass corrections, duties for the day, personal health for the day, and other various information. -
MS – 246: Papers of the Bond/Smith Families

he collection includes over 500 letters, most of them pertaining to WWI. The majority of these letters are from Norman Bond to his mother, Elizabeth (or “Bessie”) Bond, discussing his experiences as a pilot in the 13th Aero group 2nd pursuit squadron. -
MS – 247: Sinclair – Donaldson Papers

The Sinclair - Donaldson Collection includes photographs and ephemera saved by Connie Sinclair, an African-American W.A.C. member who served during WWII. The collection also contains military pins, patches, insignia, scrapbooks, letters, poetry, and newspaper clippings from the 50’s and 80’s. -
MS-285: Corporal Anthony John Kachmarsky WWII Collection

This collection contains photos and documents of Corporal Kachmarsky's time in the Pacific Theater. The main focus of the images is the Japanese Surrender Treaty Signing and the occupation of Tsingtao. Other material illustrates life in the Marine Corps.
