MS-130: World War I Letters of Henry W. Straus

This collection comprises 48 letters from Henry W. Straus to his wife Anna. They were written between June 1918 and March 1919, when Henry, as a U.S. Army medical officer, was serving a British ambulance corps in France. -
MS-131: Bair-Kohler-Berger Family at 339 Carlisle Street Collection

The collection contains materials documenting the lives of the Bair, Kohler, and Berger families who lived at 339 Carlisle Street, as well as information about Judge David Wills’ family. Also contains materials on Katalysine Springs and the Springs Hotel of Gettysburg. -

MS-133: John F. Kent Collection, Company D, New York First Cavalry Regiment

This collection contains diaries, letters, photographs, recipes, and several documents and artifacts belonging to John F. Kent. Kent was born in Scotland, emigrated to America with his parents as a small child. He enlisted in the New York First Cavalry Regiment in 1861, eventually becoming Full Sargent. -
MS-134: William C. Wright Collection of the Eugene McCarthy 1968 Presidential Campaign

This collection contains the remaining records of the Delaware State Steering Committee during the 1968 Eugene McCarthy presidential campaign. It includes newsletters, flyers, posters, newspapers, a 45 rpm recording, campaign instructions, posters, and buttons. -
MS-135: George Currier’s Notes on the Lectures Delivered at the Medical Department of Pennsylvania College at Philadelphia, 1849-1850

The collection consists of George Currier’s three manuscript books of lecture notes on anatomy, clinical work, surgery, case studies, obstetrics, diseases and treatment, herbs, tonics, narcotics, etc. Currier also drew detailed illustrations of sailing and steam ships interspersed among the pages as well as sketches of professors, soldiers, flags, etc. -

MS-137: Medical Department of Pennsylvania College at Philadelphia Collection

This is an artificial collection of Medical Department catalogs and announcements obtained over time, as well as lists of faculty and alumni created by Samuel G. Hefelbower during his research for his 1932 history of the College. It also includes an institutional history by Dr. William H. Gobrecht. -

This collection represents an interesting variety of research materials in the area of theatre arts. The majority of the play books are from Owl & Nightingale productions directed by Emile Schmidt, the plays are written by Emile Schmidt, and there's a costume sketch created by Emile Schmidt. -
MS-139: Jerome O. Hanson Collection

This collection consists of photograph slides of theatrical productions and projects produced at Gettysburg College and in the town of Gettysburg. The majority of this collection has been digitized and can be accessed upon request to Special Collections. -
MS-142: World War II Correspondence of Clarence and Helen Haldeman

The bulk of the letters in the collection were written by Clarence and Helen Haldeman between 1943 and 1946, while Clarence was being trained at various bases by the Army Air Corps, and later serving in a bomber squadron in the Pacific Theater of Operations. -

MS-147: Lieutenant Andrew R. Kane Letters

This collection is made up of 28 letters sent to Andrew R. Kane of Philadelphia, PA from May 31-July 15, 1918 while he was serving with the 112th Infantry, Company C in France. They were sent by the women in his family: his mother, two sisters, his sister-in-law, and girlfriend. -
