This collection consists of diary entries spanning three years of Hoadley G. Hosford’s enlistment in the 44th New York and a brief time in the 146th New York and the 1st Division Sharpshooters during the Civil War. -

The collection consists primarily of letters written from Lillian Quinn to Lillian Carling. The letters span from January 27, 1937 to August 8, 1949 and focus on family health, activities, and troubles of the Quinn family, as well as their opinions about World War II and how it impacts the family. -
MS-178: David Woods ’52 Papers

The David Woods Collections consists primarily of letters Woods wrote during his time serving in the Army, stationed in the Philippines. The letters are from August 1, 1946 to September 10, 1947. -
MS-181: Papers of Aaron Andrews (Andreas), 16th PA Cav., Co. E

The collection contains 31 letters from Aaron Andrews (Andreas) to his wife over a 3 year span during the war (1862 to 1865). The collection also contains biographical information done by a family member, census records, and marriage records. -
MS-184: Henry Louis Baugher, Class of 1857, Travel Diary
Elizabeth P. Steinhour
The diary consists of one 351 page travel journal including 7 pages of plant samples included at the end of the diary. He wrote about churches he attended in Europe, the scenery, hikes, and historical events including the French Revolution in Paris and the Glencoe Massacre in the Scottish Highlands. -
MS – 185: Dance Cards of Ruth Sachs ‘26

The bulk of this collection is of Dance Cards from Gettysburg College from 1922-1927. Ruth Margaret Sachs (1904-1979) graduated from Gettysburg College in 1926 and the collection includes an event program and table place cards with her name. -
MS-186: Papers of the Christ Chapel Community Welfare Program

The collection contains correspondence, photographs, and documents relating to the Community Welfare Program, which ran from 1968-1971. Gettysburg College chaplain Rev. John Vannorsdall led students in a tutorial service pairing them with at-risk local youth. -
MS-187: Papers of Gregory J. Landrey, Class of 1977

The collection contains the complete holographic draft of "A History of the Gettysburg College Campus", as well as notes and drawings pertaining to the project. The document chronicles the college's real estate history through May 1977. -
MS-190: James Gelbert '65 Teddy Roosevelt Artifact Collection

The collection contains artifacts pertaining to Teddy Roosevelt, including campaign buttons, tourist kitsch, and teddy bears. Also included is a card file of the Teddy Roosevelt book collection donated to Musselman Library in August 2015. -
MS-191: The Laubenheimer Collection

This collection contains three items dating from 1892-1896 belonging to renowned engraver Rudolph Laubenheimer and his son Ernst. The first is a solid-lead die of a seal made for the 1893 World's Fair. The second is Ernst's handwritten diary of a trip to Europe, and the third is a photograph of Ernst. -
MS-192: Ariel's Way

This collection contains the libretto, score, audio tracks, and written guidelines for the musical "Ariel's Way", written by James G. Henderson '71. It also includes videos of the 2010 production and business cards with contact and website information. -
MS-193: The Letters of William F. Dietz to Ernst G. Laubenheimer
Devin McKinney
Contains letters sent by William Dietz to Ernst Laubenheimer between 1900 and 1902. Most were sent from the Philippines during the Philippine-American War (1899-1902). Dietz was an Army engineer, tasked with building bridges. The collection also includes a few photographs and ephemera. -

Richard Hutch, '67 participated in the SCOPE (Summer Community Organization and Political Education) Project during the summer of 1965. This collection contains materials produced by SCOPE for SCOPE participants, as well as letters and publications regarding civil rights. -

The Early American Document Collection contains broadsides, manuscripts, and other material from the colonial era and early republic. The material covers a broad range of subjects, mostly pertaining to administration in colonial Philadelphia, and the American Revolution. -
MS – 196: “Meine Fahrten” Scrapbook

This collection contains an album made by a young German named Erich Leiber, who participated in the German Youth movement during the 1920s and 1930s. The album contains two sketches, 37 pages, 167 photographs, and 3 magazine clippings. -
MS – 197: Meine Militärdienstzeit
Jesse E. Siegel
The collection includes one photo album with 48 pages and 263 pictures and two sheets of newspaper. The album belonged to "The Weimar Officer," an unnamed German officer who served during WWII. -
MS – 198: Letters of Leonard G. Roberts

The bulk of this collection is the correspondence between Leonard and Geraldine Roberts and is broken into four chronological series. The Roberts’ letters offer an intimate look at one of many long distance relationships between deployed men and their wives during the Second World War. -
MS-199: Mary Metcalf Barrett Letters

This collection is comprised of seventeen Civil War era letters from Mary Metcalf Barrett to her sister, Elvira Metcalf Aplin between 1859 and 1872. She discusses her feelings about the Civil War, her worry over her son and nephews away fighting, her experiences of life on the home front in Manchester, New Hampshire. -
MS-200: The Gettysburg Superstar Collection

The collection includes materials relating to Gettysburg College's unauthorized performance of the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar in March, 1971. Included are materials relating the the performance, the reunion in 2016, and a book about the event published by Musselman Library in 2016. -
MS – 201: Hauser Collection of Eisenhower Political Ephemera

This collection contains political materials relating to President Eisenhower, mostly from 1969-1971. Included are programs from events and dedications, pamphlets and photographs, and bumper stickers from national elections.
