The collection consists primarily of letters about the publishing, distribution, and sale of Michael Jacobs’ book 'Notes on the Rebel Invasion of Maryland and Pennsylvania and the Battle of Gettysburg, July 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 1863' (J.B. Lippincott, Philadelphia, 1864) from sales agents, his publisher, family members, and other individuals interested in the book, dated September 22, 1863 – March 4, 1864. -
MS-108: Louise Ramer ’29 Chi Omega Collection

This collection contains a number of different materials, including a scrapbook and photographs, newspaper clippings, letters, publications, and programs from both Tau Delta chapter and the national sorority. A majority of these materials are from the 1930’s and 1940’s, when Gamma Phi became Chi Omega. -
MS-109: Dwight D. Eisenhower Appointment Books 1961-1967

This collection consists of copies of 1311 pages which cover the period from April 1961 to October 1967 during which time he occupied an office on the campus of Gettysburg College. These records detail his appointments, meetings, and telephone calls during his time at Gettysburg College. -
MS-110: Fannie Hurst Newsletter Collection

Much of this collection is comprised of drafts and final copies of the Fannie Hurst Newsletter (published from 1991-1995), material submitted for publication, and some promotional material. The collection also includes a substantial amount of correspondence, comprised mostly of letters and a several e-mails. -

The collection contains The Eisenhower Society correspondence, administrative and program materials covering the period 1986-1999, including the Society’s increased activity and involvement in connection with the October, 1990 centennial celebration of Eisenhower’s birth. -
MS-112: Deborah H. Barnes Papers

The collection contains papers accumulated by Deborah Barnes while she was a graduate student at Howard University and a professor at Gettysburg College. The bulk of the collection consists of course materials, including syllabi, handouts, course readings, and other resources used for course preparation and research. -
MS-113: Papers of Thomas Yost Cooper

This collection gives insight into the life of Thomas Yost Cooper and his parents, Dr. Moses and Mrs. Kate Miller Cooper. It includes Cooper’s personal interests, especially the Pennsylvania Dutch, writing, reading, movies, and Marlene Dietrich. The collection also demonstrates the work involved in writing for and editing a local newspaper. -
MS-114: Elizabeth Peeling Lyon Collection

This collection consists primarily of 75 letters Betty wrote to her family during her two years at Gettysburg College. They date from September 18, 1950 through May 19, 1952, excluding the summer holiday, and chronicle Betty’s college activities, including band, choir, the Independent Women, Kappa Delta Rho (her brother’s fraternity), and dorm life. -
MS-115: The Notarangelo Collection of the Louis A. Parsons Papers

The collection includes Louis A. Parsons' correspondence of both professional and personal nature; one set consisting of correspondence from Parsons’ life before he became a professor at Gettysburg, and the other focusing mainly around the issue of his dismissal from Gettysburg College in 1925. -
MS-116: 1864 Diary of Corporal Robert Ridge

The diary contains information on the activities of Robert Ridge during 1864, and the first two months of 1865. It contains daily entries, list of proverbs, important events and dates, mail sent, mail received, members of Company B 95th Illinois Volunteers, money sent home, clothing acquired, addresses, rations, and Army Corps commanders. -
MS-117: Papers of George H. Sweet Jr. ’42

This collection gives insight into the pre- and inter-wartime life of George H. Sweet Jr. ’42 as a member and captain of L.S.T. 358 in the Mediterranean. It also provides general information about World War II in the Mediterranean and L.S.T.s. It further gives a glimpse of the experiences of Donald Sweet ’49 as an aircrewman in the Pacific theater, specifically about life and important happenings during the invasion of Okinawa in 1945. -
MS-118: Letters Solicited by Jerold Wikoff for Gettysburg Alumni Magazine

This collection is comprised of letters written by Gettysburg College alumni to Mr. Jerold Wikoff concerning three distinct topics: World War II experiences, dinks, and alumni couple sweetheart stories. The alumni who contributed the letters that comprise this collection wrote in response to Mr. Wikoff‟s various requests within the Gettysburg alumni magazine. -
MS-119: Glatfelter Collection of Pennsylvania Hall Research

The collection consists primarily of correspondence from and to Dr. Charles H. Glatfelter during the summer and fall of 1970 documenting his attempts to gain important information in preparation for a History of Pennsylvania Hall. -
MS-120: Naviglia-Woncheck World War II Letters Home: A Family Separated by War

The collection consists of 31 letters or postcards by service men to loved ones at home. Nearly all of the letters are from members of the Naviglia-Woncheck extended family including the four Naviglia brothers: Louis (14 letters), John (one letter), James (one letter), Joseph (7 letters), and “Check” Woncheck (5 letters) the brother-in-law of their sister Anne. -
MS-122: Civil War Institute Collection

This collection contains two different types of materials. Series I contains materials relating to the Civil War in general, and are organized by subject. Series II and III contain materials or records pertaining directly to the Civil War Conferences and the Civil War Institute from 1957 – 1963. -

This collection is mainly comprised of letters and telegrams of the immediate Hanson family during WWII (1942-1946, with gaps), but also includes personal correspondence, references to law school, the bar, and the army. -
MS-124: Samuel Simon Schmucker Bicentennial Celebration 1999

MS-125: Samuel E. and Clara Turner Papers, 1861-1865

This collection consists of 10 dated letters and one undated letter fragment, all written by either Samuel Epes Turner or Clarinda (“Clara”) Turner of Baltimore, Maryland, to their cousins Mary Holyoke (Ward) Nichols and Mehitable Ward of Salem, Massachusetts, between April 29, 1861, and January 13, 1865. -
